1.3.7 Building Energy Cost

Building energy cost is estimated for net building energy use by considering local electricity tariff, and energy cost for cooling and heating, if such information is available.

In this dashboard, the same electricity tariff rate is applied for both cooling and heating costs assuming the scenario in which domestic electric split-unit air-conditioner is used.

Although the hourly building energy cost might not be that informative, the annual and monthly total building cost and their breakdown by type of energy use might be useful in evaluation of the primary financial implications in the efficiency of a particular building design.
